Dear Members,
The Annual Meeting of the Members of Douglas Electric Cooperative (DEC) is Saturday,
April 1, in the Community Conference Hall at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
The business portion of the meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. to take action on the following
matters:
- Disposition of any question that may arise as to notice of the meeting or purpose thereof.
- Reading of unapproved minutes of previous meeting of the members and taking necessary action thereon.
- Election of directors.
- Presentation and consideration of, and acting upon reports of officers, directors and committees.
- Unfinished business.
- New business: amendments to bylaws. Proposed bylaws with changes in red can be viewed at www.dec.coop/about-us/our-cooperative/bylaws. Printed copies will be available at the meeting.
- Adjournments.
After the business meeting, there are drawings for door prizes and bill credits, and lunch is served. Please visit the booths, chat with your member services representatives and DEC employees, and enjoy meeting with fellow members.
Any member absent from the annual meeting may vote for directors by mail. If spouses hold a joint membership and do not attend the meeting, they may vote by jointly marking the ballot included with this magazine.
Any member voting by mail must submit the ballot in the enclosed envelope bearing their name and address to: Secretary, c/o Douglas Electric Cooperative, P.O. Box 1327, Roseburg, OR 97470. Do not enclose payment or any other pertinent matter in the ballot envelope.
