Board Member Election Information
Dear Member,
If you are interested in getting involved in your cooperative, director positions for Districts 1 and 2 are up for election at the next Douglas Electric Cooperative (DEC) annual meeting. The meeting is on April 5 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2110 Frear Street, Roseburg.
- District 1: Incumbent Terry Nelson. This district can generally be described as Camas Valley, Tenmile, Olalla, Porter Creek, and Reston.
- District 2: Incumbent Evan Barnes. This district can generally be described as Happy Valley, Lookingglass, San Souci, Flournoy Valley, and the part of Melrose south of Doerner Road.
Qualified applicants must file a membership nomination petition signed by at least 15 members who live in the respective district. Petitions must be delivered on or before January 30 to DEC headquarters at 1981 Northeast Stephens Street, Roseburg.
