To avoid their scams, double-check the URL is correct and encrypted, meaning it will read https as opposed to http in the web address section. You will also see a padlock symbol next to the address when it is secure. Remember to use a unique and complex password to protect yourself from password cracking. A phrase is better than a word, and you can mix upper and lower-case letters with symbols and numbers to increase the complexity.
