The next Annual Meeting of the Members of Douglas Electric Cooperative is Saturday, April 3, 2027, in the Community Conference Hall at Douglas County Fairgrounds. The doors will open at 9:00 a.m. with the business portion of the meeting beginning at 10:30 a.m to take action on the following matters:
- Disposition of any question that may arise as to the notice of the meeting or purpose thereof.
- Reading of unapproved minutes of previous meeting of the members and taking necessary action thereon.
- Election of directors.
- Presentation and consideration of, and acting upon, reports of officers, directors and committees.
- Unfinished business.
- New business
- Adjournments.
There are two director positions up for election in 2027: District 6 (David House) and District 7 (open position). Members will receive a ballot in the March edition of Ruralite magazine. Ballots will also be available at the 2027 Annual Meeting and at our Member Services counter in Roseburg in March. If you prefer, please call us at 541-673-6616, and we would be glad to mail a ballot to you.
Any member who will be absent from the annual meeting may vote for directors by mail. If spouses hold a joint membership and will be absent from the meeting, they may vote by jointly marking the ballot.
